Late afternoon. The boutique door opens on to the asphalt of Old Paris. An enticing scent immediately floods the premises. A powdery cloud, a few delicate green notes, and a jasmine rose merge deliciously with the amber and leather atmosphere.
Formulated by their master candlemaker in the south of France, Astier de Villatte's candles are free of paraffin and other petrochemical byproducts and contain a mixture of soy oil, secret plant ingredients, and a smidgeon of bees wax. The glass pots are blown in Tuscany and no two are alike.
